History

ARVAC was established in 1978 and was registered as a charity and incorporated in 1987. ARVAC received modest government funding early after its establishment. The organisation has had funding over the years but currently is volunteer led, with some in-kind support from academic and research institutions.

ARVAC is worldwide the oldest national researcher association in the field of community research with a mission to bring together academics, practitioners and policy makers. Join in, help us develop, meet others, become part of this community.
